They travel the world bringing people the ultimate basketball game experience. The Harlem Globetrotters are known for their athleticism, theater and comedy. But today, Eyewitness News took to the courts with one Globetrotter bringing another message to a Utica elementary school

It's the ABC's of Bullying. Firefly Fisher of the Harlem Globetrotters showed off his basketball skills today, while talking with Conkling Elementary students about bullying prevention.

"A stands for action, B stands for bravery, and C stands for courage," says Adonis McDonald, Conkling Elementary 5th grader.

The ABC's of Bullying is coordinated with the National Campaign To Stop Violence, to help reduce bullying in schools.

"Have you ever been bullied before?" Julian Nods.

"How does it feel?" Horrible," says Julian Hall, Conkling Elementary 5th grader.

"There's a lot of bullying, it's no good. People just gotta stick up for other people," says Giovanni Alexander, Conkling Elementary 5th grader.

"Even if I only help 1 kid, it makes a difference to me because that's all it needs to do," says Firefly Fisher, Harlem Globetrotter.

And Firefly says it's an issue that hits close to home.

"I was bullied at one point when I was a kid. And look where I am now, so I'm just happy that I'm able to come here and talk to the kids about it," says Fisher.

"Let them know about importance of bullying, importance of school and the same time have some fun with them. We're giving them memories they're gonna have for the rest of their life," says Fisher.

Firefly wows the students with basketball tricks. And they say they couldn't agree more with his message.

"It would make you listen more because its someone you look up to," says Hall.

"If you live by it, you wont hurt a lot of people's feelings. If he didn't bully, maybe we shouldn't," says McDonald.

Firefly and the rest of the Globetrotters will be back in Utica on February 6th. That's when they'll take the court at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. Tickets are still available at the Aud box office.

Additional fees apply at Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone 1-800-745-3000 or Ticketmaster.com.
