By: Todd Dewan. Oriskany came up short in its bid for its first state baseball title on Saturday morning, but the Redskins didn’t go home quietly.
The two-time Section III champion Redskins couldn’t overcome an eight-run third-inning by Section IX champ Chapel Field as they fell to the Lions, 9-4, in a Class D state semifinal game at MacArthur Park’s Conlon Field. Full story at the Rome Sentinel.
