Oriskany's title hopes dashed by one bad inning

Oriskany came up short in its bid for its first state baseball title on Saturday morning, but the Redskins didn’t go home quietly.
The two-time Section III champion Redskins couldn’t overcome an eight-run third-inning by Section IX champ Chapel Field as they fell to the Lions, 9-4, in a Class D state semifinal game at MacArthur Park’s Conlon Field. Full story at the Rome Sentinel.
