Miners Johnson named to All-Independent First team

Little Falls Miners pitcher Isaac Johnson was named to the Division I All-Independent First Team.
Johnson (Verndale, MN), a sophomore for South Dakota State University, made 20 appearances with three starts, going 5-0 in 43 1/3 innings pitched, with three saves, 29 strikeouts and a 3.53 E.R.A. The Jacksrabbits won the Division I Independent Tournament, and finished 34-19.
Johnson, along with the rest of the Little Falls Miners will host an exhibition game at Vets' Park June 6th against the Utica Falcons. The game starts at 7 and there is no admission charge. The Miners regular-season opener is June 8th at home against the Amsterdam Mohawks.
