Candidate Forum Planned in Maryville for Council, School Board

(MARYVILLE, Mo.) The community has an opportunity to learn more about the candidates vying for two open school board positions in Maryville.

The Maryville Citizens for Community Action and the Chamber of Commerce teamed up to host a forum on Tuesday, March 27.

Those in attendance will have an opportunity to question the candidates for the Maryville R-II School Board and Maryville's City Council.

Candidates campaigning for two open seats on the Maryville R-II School Board are:

James Beemer (incumbent)

Elaine Wilson (incumbent)

Frank Grispino Jr.

Tom Spencer

Candidates running for an open seat on the Maryville City Council are:

Shawn Wake (incumbent)

Jeff Funston

The City of Maryville will also provide information about a wasterwater bond issue on the upcoming April 3 ballot.

The event will take place at 7 p.m. in the courtroom on the 2nd floor of the Nodaway County Courthouse.
