NY Democrats Nominate Gillibrand for Senate

The New York State Democratic Committee has nominated Kirsten Gillibrand for re-election in New York City.

The junior senator is facing three Republican challengers for her seat in November. Attorney Wendy Long, Congressman Bob Turner (NY-9) and George Maragos are all in the running against Gillibrand. They will face off in the state primary on June 26th. Gillibrand is running for her first full term. She was elected to finish out the term of former New York Senator Hillary Clinton.
