A Cassville man is charged with DWI after ending up in a well after careening off the road in Deansboro. 27-year-old Jason Harris was traveling south on Route 12B when he went off the road and ended up in a ditch taking out road signs and ended up crashing into a large cement well on a resident's lawn.

When Harris got out of his car he fell into the well, but was able to get out and fled before officials arrived at the scene.

An officer was able to follow Harris' footprints in the snow and found Harris hiding not too far from the scene.

Harris suffered minor injuries and did not seek treatment for them. He was charged with DWI and failure to keep right.

Harris is due back in the Town of Kirkland court next month.
