A Sangerfield couple's use of bath salts outside the tub landed them behind bars in Oneida County Jail.

Authorities responded to a domestic dispute Tuesday finding Jon and Pearl VanNort both impaired by using the drug known as bath salts.

Their three children were at home in the residence upon authority arrival.  The VanNorts were charged with three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Child Protective Services were called due to poor living conditions.  They were taken to a family member's house to be cared for.  Drugs charges are pending results of lab tests on the bath salt substances.  The couple is in jail on $500 bail.
