Rome Police: Multiple people stabbed at a house party

An altercation at a house party over the weekend left multiple victims in the hospital. According to police reports, officials responded to the 300-block of Kossuth Street in Rome for a reported stabbing incident.
Police say three people were stabbed after a fight broke out. The suspect fled on foot, but officials were able to find him several blocks away from the scene. Two of the victims cooperated with police in the investigation.
38-year-old James Powell, a resident of the Town of Lee, faces two counts of assault charges. He is currently being held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility.
