Two Utica teenagers are charged with burglary after reportedly breaking into a house on Albany Street in Utica.

Utica Police were patrolling the area of Culver Ave. and Armory Dr. when a man approached them about a burglary. The man told officials he was following two people that reportedly broke into a home.

Police spotted a male running through knee high water in a creek that fit the description given by witnesses.

Officials were able to detain both suspects and retrieve a back pack that had stolen property in it. Police say they were able to recover a majority of the stolen property.

17-year-old Abdullahi Sharifo and a 13-year-old male were charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.
