Police: Proctor Student Turns Himself In

The 17-year-old Proctor High School Student turned himself in Thursday
night, April 5, 2012, after the fight that took place at a track team
meeting after school on Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
According to Utica Police, the two officers assigned to Proctor High School on Tuesday responded to the cafeteria for an unconscious male.
Both students are on the track team.
After an investigation, Police learned that the suspect approached his teammate for an altercation, then turned and punched the victim, knocking him to the floor.
He continued to strike the unconscious victim until he was pulled off by teammates.
The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital where he was listed in serious condition.
He remains at the hospital with face fractures and bleeding on his brain.
The suspect is charged with Disorderly Conduct and Assault (a misdemeanor).
