Governor Andrew Cuomo wants school districts to compete for funding.

The governor announced today the launch of the School District Management Efficiency Awards Program.

It would reward schools that save money in their districts.

Governor Cuomo says New York needs to invest more in our students and less in the bureaucracy.

The program allows up to $75 million in district grants over the next three years.
