Utica couple facing animal abuse charges involving mink

A Utica couple is under arrest and facing animal abuse charges.
Utica Police responded to a residence on Flagg Avenue in Utica after a citizen reported a smell in the backyard.
Suzanne Evans and Carl Selden, both of Utica, are each facing five counts of torturing and injuring animals.
Police say they arrived at the residence to find a cage full of animal waste that contained several neglected mink, and one dead mink that was covered in feces.
