Mayor's Benefit Gala kicks off Saturday

The 2012 Mayor's Ball will be taking place at the Radisson on Saturday, April 14, 2012.
The mayor's wife has quickly learned that planning the ball is one of her major responsibilities.
Mrs. Palmieri says her first ball was a very large task but she is very thankful of all the help she's had from the community.
"It's quite an event," she said. "It really is. It takes a lot of preparation, and I have to tell you, the people of Utica, all the people that have sponsored this event, and all the people that have given their talents, they have just been wonderful.
All proceeds of the Mayor's Benefit Gala will go to the Children's Museum and the Steven's Swan Humane Society.
