About forty investigators across the Mohawk Valley attended a seminar on
Monday, April 16, 2012 to learn how to help prevent crimes against
children.
It was presented to help them prosecute and rescue unidentified sexually exploited children.
Part of the seminar included learning about a cyber-tip line.
Executive Director of the National Center for the Missing and Exploited Children Edward Suk says the tip line will help connect law enforcement officials across the nation to help solve and prevent these crimes.
"Now what that does is that it enables law enforcement to be able to view contraband that is in existence that helps identify children found in child pornography and sexual abuse videos," he said.
The Child Victim Identificaiton Program serves as the clearinghouse for identified victims within the United States.
