Boilermaker seeks local bands for Post Race Party

The Boilermaker Post Race Party will be adding a local opening act.
Starting this year, a local band will be given a chance to showcase their talent.
"With the moving up of the 5k starting time last year from 7:30 to 7:15 am we saw more runners arriving at the Post Race venue earlier" said Post Race Party Director Tom Heiland. "This is an opportunity to offer more to our participants."
In order to qualify, the band must be located within a fifty mile radius from Utica.

A total of 18,000 runners will run the Boilermaker Road Race on July 8th, 2012.
