Rome Police are still investigating the death of a Rome child that took place on Tuesday.
After an autopsy, police say 11-month-old Kaitlyn Tennant died as a result of sleeping face down on the couch.
Investigators say Tennant was sleeping on the couch with two young siblings and her mother, Heather Larson, 30, when her legs became trapped between the couch cushions, causing her to be face down on the couch.
The Oneida County Child Advocacy Center is helping with the investigation.
