Cuomo announces NY Sun Initiative

New York State is moving in a direction to increase solar power development, according to Governor Andrew Cuomo.
He has announced comprehensive NY Sun Initiative to expand solar development in the state.
The goal is to double the amount of customer-sited solar power installed annually in New York, and quadruple that amount by 2013.
He says the initiative will bring together and expand existing programs administered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, and the New York Power Authority, that the governor says will create green jobs and place New York at the forefront of solar development and research.
