The Utica Public Library has a new addition to their building. It's the called the chapter one cafe.
The cafe will be run by volunteers on the first floor of the library. Customers can buy coffee, tea and various baked goods from 8 in the morning until two in the afternoon.
The Utica Public Library hopes the cafe will allow the community to enjoy all aspects of their facility.
"People can come in and stay for a really long time because they can get something to eat and drink while they are here and don't have to leave the building. We are sort of taking a page from Barnes & Noble because they have done this for a long time. They have a nice cafe they want people to come in and enjoy the collection and we want people to do that too," said Darby O'Brien of the Utica Public Library.
The mural painting inside the cafe and the naming of the cafe were all done by the community.
