A familiar face toured Remington Arms in Ilion today. Congressman Richard Hanna discussed business operations and legislation regarding firearms manufacturing like microstamping.

Mr. Hanna says microstamping is a gun is away to trace the weapon back to the person who is registered to it. But he says the technology does not make sense.

"We're completely against microstamping. It is so easy to undo and there is no evidence with the millions of guns out there already and you can change the components easily. It sounds good but it's not a practical solution to our problems," said Hanna, (R) 24th Congressional District Representative.

Congressman Hanna says Remington Arms builds about 3,700 new guns a day. The manufacturing company says they are in the process of having the new M4 assault rifle to be built right in the Valley.
