Utica National Insurance Group lace up sneakers to "Go the Extra Mile"

Some area workers spent time outdoors Tuesday.
Employees at Utica National Insurance Group laced up their walking shoes to support the United Way by "Going the Extra Mile."They strolled around the grounds of the company's headquarters in New Hartford. The organizer says today's event is a precursor to Utica's United Way fundraising campaign kickoff set for October.
"Any chance we can to bring awareness to our employees and go outside and take a little break. It's great to come outside from a health perspective and to bring the awareness," said organizer Jonathan Zabek.
All proceeds and fundraising for the United Way of the Greater Valley and Utica area stay right here in the community.
