The man accused of Utica's only homicide this year rejected a plea offer in Oneida County Court today. 42-year-old Jamal Gadson is charged in connection to the July 23rd shooting death of 35-year-old Jermaine Stubbs.

Stubbs was shot repeatedly near the 600 block of Lenox avenue. Officials say it happened shortly after an argument between Stubbs and Gadson. Gadson was later found in North Carolina.

He was brought back to Utica in September and after rejecting the plea deal today, he will stand trial for Stubbs' murder.
