Unemployment rate rises

The anticipated October Jobs Report has officially been released.
Reports show the unemployment rate has gone up just a bit.
According to the Labor Department, it shows the unemployment rate 7.9% from the 7.8% in September.
Although there is a slight rise, reports are also showing that the economy did add 171,000 jobs last month.
Eyewitness News talked with an economics professor, who says this report does come with good news.
"More than a a half million additional people joined the labor force. In order to be able to land a job, you obviously have to be out there looking for work so there was a size-able increase in the labor force, which is a positive sign," said Arthur Friedberg.
