THANKS STEPHEN. A TRIP TO THE CARRIER DOME IS A SPECIAL MOMENT FOR ANY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYER. FOR THE DEFENDING CLASS D CHAMPION WESTMORELAND BULLDOGS, IT DEMONSTRATES A PROGRAM DEDICATED TO EXCELLENCE, AND PLAYERS AND COACHES WHO ADVANCE THEIR PROGRAM, WIN OR LOSE.

THE CARRIER DOME. FROM THE FIRST SNAPS OF 2-A-DAY PRACTICES, EVERY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYER DREAMS OF PLAYING FOR A SECTIONAL TITLE AT THE DOME.

MAKING IT TO THAT SECTIONAL GAME IS HARD ENOUGH, WINNING IT, EVEN HARDER, BUT FOR THE WESTMORELAND BULLDOGS, EVERY GAME, EVEN THE LOSSES IS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE.

((SOT)) - HARRISON

KNOW THAT WE'VE GIVEN IT ALL WE HAD THIS GAME, AND THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE SEASON. WE WERE JUST LUCKY ENOUGH TO COME THIS FAR. IT'S HEAVY NOW, BUT WE'RE ALL MOTIVATED FOR NEXT SEASON TOO."

FOR COACH TIM GATES, TEACHING HIS YOUNG PLAYERS TO LEARN FROM EACH GAME, IS ALMOST AS IMPORTANT AS WINNING.

((SOT)) - GATES

"OUR GUYS KNOW, ESPECIALLY OUR YOUNG GUYS, THEY GOT A GOOD TASTE OF WHAT WINNING FOOTBALL IS ALL ABOUT. THEY GOT A GREAT TRIP TO THE DOME, WE GOT A LOT OF GOOD YOUNG FOOTBALL PLAYERS THAT ARE HUNGRY AND LOVE THE GAME.

THAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE IS SOMETHING PASSED DOWN NOT ONLY FROM THE COACHES, BUT FROM THE OUTGOING SENIORS AS WELL.

((SOT)) - GREEN

"THIS IS A LEARNING GAME FOR NEXT SEASON. YOU JUST HAVE TO LEARN THAT TURN-OVERS ARE SOMETHING THAT WILL TAKE GAMES AWAY. "

SOMETIMES, THE LESSON LEARNED IS AS SIMPLE AS GRATITUDE AND MOTIVATION.

((SOT)) - GARROW

"I'LL TELL THEM I'M PROUD OF THEM, THEY GAVE ME IT ALL THIS YEAR. AND THEY SHOULD LEARN FROM THIS, AND USE IT AS MOTIVATION TO GET BACK NEXT YEAR.
