'Tis the season of giving. And View, an arts center in Old Forge says a recent gift holds true to that message.

View has received a $365,000 dollar gift to retain an old building they were going to have to sell to pay off debt. Now they will be able to maintain both their old and new facilities. The benefactors are long-time supporters of View, but they asked to remain anonymous.

"We can continue to grow in ways that we have not even imagined when we built this new building. We thought for sure the old building would have to go in order to pay our debt, but now we have both buildings, so it can open up a whole lot of new workshop opportunities for us," Jennifer Potter Hayes, executive director at View.

Hayes says the gift is pledged over a five year period. And the only stipulation is the business cannot sell the building for 20 years. They say it's a great way to start the new year.
