Some people were taking advantage of the warmer weather on Wednesday, including Utica's Department of Public Works.

Crews were on the 700-block of Court Street, demolishing two dilapidated buildings. Another structure on Kossuth Avenue will also be taken down in an east Utica neighborhood.

Mayor Palmieri says despite budget problems the city is facing, maintaining quality of life is crucial.
