Thousands of breakfast lovers united today to celebrate pancakes.. while raising awareness. For the eighth year, IHOP restaurants nationwide held 15 hours of free flap-jacks to celebrate National Pancake Day, and to raise awareness.

Our area's New Hartford IHOP participates each year to raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network Hospital at Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare.

"You can come in all day from 7am-10pm and receive a free stack of pancakes. Having IHOP behind this cause is so great because it's local here and we can make an impact right here in our community," says Andrea Macdiarmid, Children's Miracle Network coordinator.

Over 1,500 IHOP's participated in National Pancake Day with the goal to raise $3-million dollars for CMN hospitals and other charities.
