State Senator Gene Jeffress is running for the Arkansas District 4 congressional seat.

He is one of three Democrats in the race.

Jeffress says he understands the frustration a lot of folks have these days with Washington and the partisan gridlock.

He says it's time to change the tone in D.C.

"They're tired of this do nothing Congress and you know just like a bunch of sore-headed cats that can't get along. We've got to make America work again," Jeffress says.

Jeffress is up against fellow Democrats Q. Byrum Hurst and D.C. Morrison in the May 22nd Arkansas Primary election.
