In the race for the 13th Congressional District seat, Republican Rodney Davis is facing Democrat David Gill. Our Question: Have we accomplished our mission of bringing peace to the Middle East?

David Gill:  Over time I hope so. It's a long drawn-out process now over a couple of millennia and hopefully we can bring a lasting role of peace to the Middle East. It's certainly a large task.

Rodney Davis:  I don't think that was our initial mission, to bring peace. I think there are different definitions of peace no matter where you go in the world. I think that what we've accomplished in the Middle East is showing the leaders in the there that we are serious about world peace. We're serious about insuring that it remains a stable part of the world in a geo-political manner.
