Cianfriglia leads Gaelic Knights to the quarterfinals

After a strong effort in the first half against Bishop Ludden, the Ilion Golden Bombers were outscored 31-to-11 in the second half to lose 48-29 in their opening round sectional game.
Ilion (12-7) led the game by one point at halftime (18-17) with some excellent defense which contained Gaelic Knight’s point guard Ashley Cianfriglia.
That all changed in the second half when Cianfriglia led her team to a 17-point third quarter and 14-point fourth quarter.
With Bishop Ludden playing really well on offense, their defense picked up the pace as well, allowing only 11 points in the second half.
