Lady Bulldogs open softball season with a home victory

Allie Schremmer belted a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to snap a 1-1 tie, while sophomore Cristina Rondenelli, making her first varsity start for the hosts, recorded the pitching win.
Jenn Munn’s single broke up a perfect game bid by New York Mills pitcher Corrin Flihan in the bottom of the fifth and later scored on a wild pitch to give the Lady Bulldogs the 1-0 lead.
Mills tied the game up in the top of the sixth inning on an RBI single by Hailey Griffith, scoring Brittany Englert.
