BOYS BASEBALL 

Frankfort 4, Oriskany 2

Game Highlights: Frankfort scored two unearned runs in the top of the 8th innning and defeated Oriskany 4-2 in extra innings.  Andrew Talarico struck out four batters and went the distance to earn the win on the mound for Frankfort.  Nick Sparagna and Talarico each had two hits apiece for Frankfort.  Mike Bunal threw the first 7 innings for Oriskany and struck out 7 batters.  Oriskany will host a CSC cross-over game against Old Forge Friday at 4:30 

Ilion 9, Mount Markham 3

Ilion: 3-0 League  5-3 overall
Mount Markham: 2-1 League 2-4 Overall
Misc: 3rd-Dan Roberts 2-RBI triple scored Brandon Thomas(who BB) and Corey Atwell (who singled) for Mt. Markham. Ilion-Dan Colbrun led off with a single, J Eysaman BB. After a double steal, Brett Leon singled home Colburn & Eysaman. Joe Gantz and Mike Sparrin would BB to load the bases and several errors would allow Leon, Gantz, and Sparrin to score.  Two Mt. Markham errors would score James Ferguson and Colburn in the 4th inn.  Leon would single home Eysaman in the 6th and later score on an overthrow by the shortstop on a forceout.

 

Westmoreland 5, Adirondack 2

HIGHLIGHTS For Westmoreland: Travis Rogers was 3 for 3 with 2 runs, Craig Pawlikowski was 2 for 2 with a run and an RBI, Danny Smith had a hit a run and an RBI, Ryan Murphy had a hit and an RBI.For Adirandack Scott Hughs had a hit and an RBI, Buhler had a hit and a run.Pitching Highlights: For Westmoreland:Danny Smith threw a complete game 3-hitter with 9 K's 7 BB and 2 earned runs.
