How to enjoy the Sports Connection on Cnyhomepage.

Hello and Welcome to the Sports Connection on Cnyhomepage.com.  Whether this is your first time visiting the site or a returning visitor, many things have changed here at the Sports Connection and we wanted to make sure you could use the website to it's full capacity.  So here is your guide to understanding and using the Sports Connection.

MAIN PAGE:

First off is the Chalkboard School Selector.  If you have a favorite school you would like to check up on, this is the way.  Simply select your favorite school or team from the chalkboard to take you to that school's or team's individual page.  From here you can get the latest scores and standings, but we'll get to that more in-depth later.

Next we'll check out the Scheduler Calendar on the left hand side of the screen.  Here is where you'll find the latest scores from across Section III high school sports as well as all upcoming games.  Simply pick a date on the calendar and a pop-up scoreboard will appear.  If the games have already been played a score will appear, or if it's a future date, you can find out the time and location of the game.

Next on the main page is the Sports Connection Headline Module.  This is where all the latest headlines and stories from all across Central New York will appear.  For the fall season you can check out links to the latest stories from numerous on-line media sources for boys football, boys and girls soccer, and girls field hockey.  Also you will find video highlights in this section from each Friday's sports edition of the Link.

And finally on the main page, the Twitter feed on the bottom left hand side.  This is where you'll get the latest and most up-to-date information from on-going games as well as reminders about things to look out for in the coming week or events and contests taking place on Cnyhomepage.  You can follow the sports dude on twitter or on the Sports Connection.  Just look for the user CNYSports.

SCHOOL PAGES:

After clicking on a school off of the Chalkboard on the main page, you will be taken to that school's individual page.  First notice the four labeled tabs at the top of the page, Boys Football, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer and Girls Field Hockey.  These are the four sports that the Sports Connection is covering for the Fall Sports Season.  By clicking any of these tabs you will see the latest score for that team as well as the current standings for that team and the rest of it's division.

Underneath the Sports Tabs you will see the Headline module and to the left of the tabs you will see the Scheduler Calendar.  Both these features will function just as they do from the main page.  To navigate to a different school's page, you can hover over the High School Sports tab located underneath the Scheduler Calendar.  Hovering over this tab will give you an alphabetical listing of all the schools covered on the Sports Connection at Cnyhomepage.com.

Also, while on a school page, don't forget to let us know what you think of the page by voting whether or not you think that school page is a winner, which is also located under the Scheduler Calendar.
