The wheels are in motion to make the Utica Master Plan a reality. However, it has to get through the Common Council before action is made. The Urban and Economic Development Committee has approved the plan and it is now in the hands of the council.
City Councilman Frank Vescera says he hopes the council will vote soon, although he says he's worried that they might be headed for more discussion. But, he says he's hopeful that the plan will get passed eventually. "I think this council has the duty and the obligation to finish this off in this term," says Vescera. He says the next Common Council meeting will be held next Wednesday, September 21st.
