United Way School Supply Drive A Success

By: Elsa Gillis
Updated: September 14, 2011
As students in the Mohawk Valley head back to school, it's important they have all the tools they need to learn.  But for some in our area, school supplies are a bit too expensive for the budget.  That's where the United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica area is stepping in.  They've been holding a school supply drive over the past few weeks for those who can't afford to buy all the supplies they need.

United Way collected 1000 pounds of supplies for those students in need and have been distributing the supplies to individual families, local education, and child care programs around the area.
