For American Idol fans, a familiar face is in town tonight.Caleb Hawley will be performing at the Mohawk Valley Community College tomorrow night.
For those who may not know him, Caleb was on last season's American Idol and made it through to the top fifty.
He performed live on KISS FM today.
Caleb considers himself an up and coming singer and song writer. He is a part of a new album "After the Flood" that is closely tied with upstate New York.
Caleb was a contestant on last season's American Idol. His experience, he says "unreal."
"Meeting them was bizarre...crazy.. you see them on TV and you kind of forget they're human beings... I was spaced out a little bit," says the midwest native.
Now he's performing across the country and tomorrow will be performing in Central New York.
Caleb's music is also featured in a new album released titled "After the Flood," a collaboration of NY artists to help raise funds and awareness for the victims of the Schoharie Valley when Hurricane Irene hit.
" And it's raised 8 grand...To do something in two weeks... We're very proud of it," says Hawley.
Caleb will be performing with a full band tomorrow night at MVCC at 7 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door, $10 for the public and free for all MVCC students.
