Inmate Charged with Assault, Sending One to Hospital

17-year-old Stephon Suarez has been charged with assault after an argument at the Oneida County Correctional Facility on December 2nd.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Suarez punched and kicked another inmate, 16-year-old Derron Pool repeatedly.
The incident unfolded when Pool left his seat during a movie and Suarez sat in his seat. Pool returned and Suarez would not move.
Pool was treated at St. Elizabeth's for injuries. Suarez was not injured and will appear in Whitestown Court at a later date.
