By: Michael C. Fehn
Updated: March 13, 2012
Today is the last day that residents can register to vote in Illinois.

The original deadline of February 24th was extended in order to give voters more time to register or change their voting address.

Officials say those who participate in the grace period must vote at the same State Election Authority Office where they registered.

The Illinois Primary is Tuesday, March 20th.
