Man In ICU After Being Struck By Car in Parking Lot

A 79-year-old man is in hospitalized after being struck by a car inside a parking lot. Police say Firooz Tabrizi of Whitesboro was pushing a shopping cart through the parking lot when a car hit him yesterday afternoon.

The driver was 73-year-old Mary Becker of Whitesboro.

Tabrizi was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center for head and leg injuries. Becker did not suffer any injuries.

The accident is still under investigation and charges have not been filed at this time.
