Two injured in car crash in Town of Verona

An illegal U-Turn resulted in a two-car motor vehicle crash in the Town of Verona. Police say the crash happened around 10:30 pm. on Route 46.

According to reports, 28-year-old Michelle Hodges of Auburn was driving south on Route 46 when she tried to complete an illegal U-Turn.

As she was entering the intersection her car was hit by 22-year-old Vito Ceraulo. Ceraulo was not injured, but the passenger Jacob Kelly was taken to the hospital for chest and leg pain.

Hodges was also taken to the hospital for head lacerations.

Hodges was issued tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Verona Town Court at a later date.
