Police: Utica Man Fakes Rape Allegations

Officials say one Utica man went to police to report that he had been raped and sodomized by another male, only to find out that he was lying about it.
Utica Police says 42-year-old Robert Brower of Bleeker Street came to the UPD police station on February 17th. Authorities conducted a thorough investigation and say Brower fabricated the story.
Brower is charged with making a false write statement.
