A 10-year-old's battle with cancer

One person in particular is 10-year-old Jesse Schofield.
"On May 5th, 2009, I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer. I thought it was my fault, I thought I caused it, that I did something wrong," he said.
At Jessie's age, he's been through things that most will never experience. After being in and out of a wheelchair the last three years, Jesse is finally out, and walking again.
"Therapy asked me, are you ready? I was like yeah, I am hating this wheelchair, you're having to get pushed around doing nothing," Jesse said.
Getting out of his wheelchair in January of 2012 would also mean that he would join his Relay for Life team for the first time, as a survivor.
"You're helping other people get their cancer over, and help them. You're helping yourself also," he added.
As a cancer survivor, Jesse says he knows times can be tough.
But he has a motto for anyone who might be fighting the battle.
"Never give up," he said.
