Governor Andrew Cuomo announced today accelerated road and bridge projects as part of the New York Works program.

It is estimated to bring in around $29,886,323 to repair 143 miles of roads and 15 bridges throughout the Mohawk Valley.

The program is estimated to create thousands of jobs in our area and tens of thousands of jobs statewide.

Specifically, parts of I-790 and French Road will be fixed, along with bridges on Route 69 over Route 365 and Route 26, according to Anthony Brindisi.

"Creating jobs and repairing aging infrastructure are two major priorities in the Mohawk Valley," said Brindisi. "Not only will the NY Works program create good-paying jobs for hardworking families, it will help make our roads and bridges safer for traveling and our communities more attractive to businesses."
