Cuomo announces $61 million in aid for tropical storm cleanup

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced today that $61 million will be distributed across New York State for the recovery costs of tropical storms Irene and Lee.

The damage from the two storms cost around $1.6 billion.

The money will cover costs associated with emergency shelter, water system and infrastructure repair and other cleanup projects.
