Utica native elected as McDonald's COO

A former Utica man has been elected to the role of Chief Operating Officer for McDonalds Corporation.

Tim Fenton began his career with McDonalds in 1973 as a crew member right here in Utica.

The 39-year veteran will be responsible for the company's 33,500 restaurants worldwide.

Fenton will begin his role on July 1, 2012.
