Fire crews responded to a fully-involved barn fire in the Town of Richfield Springs.

It happened on the 100-block of Ellard Road.

Officials got the call at 10:30 this morning.

Luckily, no one was injured, but 1st Assistant Fire Chief Douglas Brooks says some chickens died.

Chief Brooks says it took two hours to knock down the blaze and the fire department needed to call an excavator to knock down the walls.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
