The Herkimer Area Resource Center's Boy Scout Troop 35 also celebrated Flag Day to honor area veterans and the American flag of course.

Scouts also watched the documentary outlining the HARC's LED flags project at Times Square in New York City.

The troop even used sign language to say the Pledge of Allegiance.

"This is their first time learning it and our speech instructor has been working with them for a couple of months now on this activity. It's part of their communication badge. The Scouts program has been wonderful. It has given such pride to our consumers and they go home and tell their parents the things they have done," said Susan Streeter, Vice President of Day & Community Supports.

Every year, the HARC's Flag Ceremony allows the scouts to share their work with staff and the community.
