*The video above is the raw, full, and uncut interview with Karen
Klein. Klein tells how
she felt finding out about everything the teen children were saying.
The video and information for the story has been provided by our sister
station, WROC, in Rochester, New York.*
Greece, NY-
Karen Klein was a bus monitor who was thrust into the news after a video surfaced on YouTube. The video came from Greece, New York and in it, depicts multiple teens on a bus bullying Klein. The teens use profanity, ridiculed her weight, and much more causing her to cry during the recording.
According to our sister station, WROC, the teens are from Greece Athena Middle School. Greece police are investigating the harassment seen in the video apparently shot with a mobile device. They do not have information on how many people are involved, but they say they are all in between the ages of 12 and 13. Charges may be filed against the teens. There are three videos on YouTube of this same incident with the bus monitor.
Due to the profane and vulgar language used repeatedly throughout the video, Eyewitness News is not posting the link to the video. The video is titled, "Making the Bus Monitor Cry." If you wish to watch it, viewer discretion is advised.
In a statement from Laurel Heiden, Community Relations Manager for the Greece Central School District, she says:

We are currently in the process of investigating, along with the Greece Police Department, this situation and are working to identify all students involved. We are working to get you that information as soon as possible. Please understand that it will take time to sort out the details and make sure that the information is accurate, but know that our bullying response and prevention team has been activated and all students found to have a role in this incident will face disciplinary action.
