Congressman Richard Hanna hosted a roundtable discussion today in Yorkville, regarding the Affordable Care Act.
After the U.S. Supreme Court upheld President Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act, some senior citizens have questions about their health care coverage.
MVP Health Care staff and senior citizens enrolled in MVP's Medicare advantage plans raised concerns of affordability.
"This Affordable Healthcare Act does not do what it portends to do. It isn't going to be cheaper. It does give more insurance to more people but it doesn't have a way to make it more affordable. The number two thing this bill was designed to do after giving more people insurance," explains Congressman Hanna.
Congressman Hanna says although the affordable care act may be confusing to people, he says he's trying to keep area residents up to speed.
