A fifty thousand dollar grant will help to keep our community cleaner, greener, and safer. Thant's the idea behind the community foundation donation to establish a Mohawk Valley Keep America Beautiful program. The regional initiative will serve Oneida and Herkimer counties. Part of the program's goal is to repair old buildings, but they say the goal is much more than that.
Diane Shoemaker, the Program Coordinator says, "Residential and building rehab is only a part of what we'll be talking about as part of this project. it's part of the bigger picture of what we need to do to make our cities really viable and sustainable moving forward"
