Today St. Elizabeth Medical Center held a mass to remember and honor those who lost their lives on that Tuesday in 2001. This afternoon more than a dozen people gathered at the medical center chapel. Ever year following the attacks St. Elizabeth Medical Center has held a remembrance service.

Chief Operating Officer Robert Scholefield says, "Today is a day across the country we honor those who lost their lives at 9/11. And secondly so many first providers that we're there that day that provided that care, although they didn't come from St. Elizabeth at that moment, many people from the community did go to New York to assist."

Last year they planted a tree for the tenth anniversary for the victims and heroes.
